The actual mechanism design dates back to the 1920s French ‘Zig Zag’ corkscrew, so you really are getting a little piece of design history here.

How it works:

3. The tail is then pulled gently upwards and the scissor action creates a lever effect to remove the cork effortlessly.
4. After removal, a concealed spring closes the corkscrew and the cork is removed.
5. Simple, clean and oh so stylish!
